WILDSTAR Gen2 RTM for 6U OpenVPX – WP6R20

RTMs facilitate high-speed and general-purpose I/O transfers between WILDSTAR 6U OpenVPX motherboards and other components.

This Rear Transition Module is compatible with WILDSTAR UltraK and WILDSTAR A10 6U OpenVPX motherboards.

General Features

  • Supports Xilinx-based WILDSTAR UltraScale for OpenVPX and Altera-based WILDSTAR Arria 10 for OpenVPX cards

Rear Panel I/O

  • Two QSFP+ with CDR for enhanced signal integrity for FPGA HSS
  • CPU I/O Support (availability depends on payload card type/configuration)
    • One SFP+ with CDR for enhanced signal integrity
    • RJ45 Ethernet Port
    • USB 3.0 Host with USB Type C connector
      • Supports USB 2.0 and 3.0 connections
    • USB UART Serial Port Console
    • Micro-DB9 for RS-232, RS422 or RS-485 support
  • SMA supporting IRIG-B input, clock output, or clock input. Can be AC or DC coupled and supports TTL and LVPECL levels as well as software selectable termination and threshold settings.
    • Can support 1 PPS input or output
  • Dual CHAMP connectors for LVDS and Single ended IOs
    • High Speed LVDS buffers for additional ESD protection
    • Supports twenty-four 5V or 3.3V (switch selectable) Single Ended IO on each CHAMP connector (controlled via I2C from payload CPU)
    • Supports up to 16 LVDS and four 2.5V single ended FPGA connections per CHAMP connector
      • CHAMP LVDS is uni-directional and can be ordered as all TX, all RX or a combination of TX/RX
